HEMAKUMARA DISSANAYAKE
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hemakumara Dissanayake, one of the founders of Venture Greens (Pvt) Ltd, serves as the CEO and as a director of Venture Greens (Pvt) Ltd. Mr. Dissanayake has over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry serving for 10 years with Ceylinco Insurance, as a Regional Manager, 10 years with Asian Alliance PLC as a Sales Manager and 3 years at Janashakthi Insurance in the capacity of Assistant General Manager. In addition to the serving as the CEO of Venture Greens (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Dissanayake is also currently serving at the CEO of Cellcom Asia (Pvt) Ltd. He is also an accomplished leadership trainer and has personally trained over 150 employees at Cellcom Asia (Pvt) Ltd and at Venture Greens (Pvt) Ltd.
Vedika Abeyrathne
Deputy General Manager – CHANNEL 01
Mr. Vedika Abeyrathne, currently serving in the capacity of Deputy General Manager at Venture Greens (Pvt) Ltd, started his career in the insurance industry. Mr. Abeyrathne has over 11 years of experience working at several leading insurance companies in Sri Lanka, namely Asian Alliance PLC, Janashakthi Insurance, Arpico Insurance, and AIA. Mr. Abeyrathne, a graduate of the S. M. D. C. University of Singapore, brings a wealth of experience working for public quoted insurance companies and has served as a Regional Manager and Zonal Manager in his career.
Lalith Illesinghe
Assistant General Manager – CHANNEL 02
Mr. Lalith Illesinghe is a person with nearly one and a half decade of experience and supervisory and administrative management of leading insurance companies. He has also received national and international awards for outstanding performance in the field of sales and marketing. He has also worked as a mentor and trainer. He has served as a branch manager at Cooplife insurance for 9 years, 2 years at Janashakthi Insurance as an Assistant Regional Manager and 2 years as an Assistant Zonal Manager at Arpico Insurance.
Danushka Sanjeewa Sellahewa
Senior Provincial Sales Manager – CHANNEL 03
Mr. Danushka Sanjeewa Sellahewa has served in the capacity of Senior Provincial Sales Manager at Venture Greens (Pvt) Ltd for a year. Mr. Sellahewa possesses a decade’s worth of experience in both sales and in a leadership capacity, having worked in Softlogic Life Insurance Company, Allianz Insurance Company and Arpico Insurance Company having reached the level of Business Manager. In addition to his service in the insurance industry, Mr. Sellahewa has also served as a Branch Sales Manager at Sadaharitha Plantations Limited Company.
UPUL BANDARA HERATH
Assistant General Manager
Mr. Upul Herath, an ExCo member at Venture Greens, holds a diploma in management at Ambassador University in Canada, and he also has participated in several international management trainings overseas. With 27 years of experience in sales, administration, and HR, he has held several senior management positions at Softlogic Life Insurance PLC for 18 years and Central Finance for 6 years. He also possesses management experience in Japan and Dubai.
